Client Weddings

I knew during the initial phone consultation that J & J were going to be such a fun couple to work with. They got married at the stunning venue, Rockwood Manor, in Potomac, MD. Rockwood Manor is any nature lover’s dream with a ceremony space under established trees and a variety of cabins and accommodations on-site for your wedding party. J & J took advantage of the on-site accommodations and had a full weekend of activities planned for their family and friends who traveled from near and far to celebrate their special day.

J & J’s wedding had a boho feel. My favorite design element had to be the oriental rugs down the center of the ceremony aisle. We worked with Eclectic Blooms based out of Annapolis, MD to create the wild flower centerpieces in a variety of mercury vases and antique stem vases. J had a floral hairpiece created that perfectly complemented her dress and overall look. Lyssa, from Evergreen Beauty Nova, worked her hair and make-up magic to make J looking absolutely stunning on her big day!

J & J’s ceremony was officiated by a close family friend who added in a lot of personal touches and stories about the young couple. J & J exchanged personal vows and there was not a dry eye in the room. This wedding season, I have had so many couples opt to write their own vows and if you can, I highly recommend adding in your own vows. It is such a special moment and memory for not only the two of you, but also your families and friends in attendance.

J & J’s reception was absolute perfection. The tables had wild flower centerpieces, olive green napkins, and amber glassware to create a unique and eclectic look. The fireplace was decorated with floating candles in various heights to add warmth to the space. Candles were scattered on each table.

During the reception, J’s parents gave the most heartwarming speeches. However, the dance floor is something I will never forget. J & J stormed the dance floor, they performed a fast paced dance for their “first dance” as husband and wife. It was so different from the typical slow dance and really energized the crowd and prepped their guests for a night of breaking it down on the dance floor.

J & J’s wedding was so THEM. It was a beautiful wedding, not only because of the design and the venue, but because they paid attention to creating special moments not only for themselves, but also for their guests.
